Fall Conference

The New Mexico Jewish Historical Society organizes an Annual Fall Conference that focuses not only on the history of Jewish New Mexico but also on Jewish cultural, social, identity, and community history, including Crypto-Jews, Jewish Pioneer families, and 20th-century Jewish communities and organizations.

The New Mexico Jewish Historical Society’s 2026 Fall Conference, Jewish Life in New Mexico Through the Arts, took place on Sunday, October 25, 2026 and explored the many ways Jewish life and identity have been expressed through the arts in New Mexico. The day featured presentations and performances by Sara Novenson, Isabelle Sandoval, and Jacqueline Bell. The day also featured artist tables showcasing artwork by Jacqueline Bell, Harvey Buchalter, Sara Novenson and Ellen Premack.
