It is the latest in its series of studies of New Mexico Pioneer Jewish families. It was written and researched by Dr. Noel Pugach.
The booklet traces the arrival and history of four families–Mandell, Weiller, Dreyfuss, and Benjamin–that settled in Albuquerque in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. They shaped the development of the downtown business community and were involved extensively in the Jewish community. They were connected by blood, marriage, and business interests in many fascinating and significant ways.
